Our interpretation coordinators carefully select an interpreter to represent your company. With extensive vocabularies and specialized skill sets, TFLI interpreters remain neutral third parties on site or by phone.

The 2005 American Community Survey (US Census Bureau) shows that more than 300,000 people in Tennessee use a language other than English at home. Equal access to healthcare and legal services are two of the many services needed by this growing segment of our population.
Billing and rate information
Interpretation Services are billed on an hourly basis, with a 2-hr. minimum. If an interpreter is not available in the county for which an interpreter is requested, hourly costs for travel are added (when applicable, mileage is also added at the current State of Tennessee rate of .46 per mile.)
Rates may vary according to project size and accessibility. There is a higher hourly rate for Certified Court Interpreters.
For after-hours and weekend requests, additional charges are assessed Cancellations require 24 hr. notice and failure to do so will result in a minimum charge.
Interested in a contract?
TFLI can negotiate a lesser rate per hour for clients with a high volume of interpretation requests that are interested in a contract with TFLI. Please contact ITS Director Hope Collins for more information at hope@tfli.org or 615.741.7579x105.
Telephonic interpretation and conference calls are available by special request and are limited by circumstance. Please call for rates and availability of this service.
