TFLI and the Sudanese Community Center: $10 Campaign
Thank you for taking the time to read this. We are asking you for a small donation of $10 to help us keep the ESL classes at the Sudanese Community Center
http://sudanesecenter.org/
. When we collect $10 from 100 people, we will have completed our goal of $1000.

With the help of a grant from the Nashville Career Advancement Center, and the dedication of volunteers and TESL practice teachers, we have been able to teach for 300 hours. As a result, our Sudanese refugee students have learned to read, write and communicate in English. They have been able to get jobs and help their children adjust to school life. Many of them have received driver’s licenses as a result of these classes. As many of you know, speaking English is the cornerstone of being successfully integrated into our community. Although we are pursuing other grant opportunities at this time, we cannot continue these services without funding. This is why we need your support. (
Why does TFLI need donations? Click here
.)
100% of your donation
will pay a certified TESL teacher to continue the ESL classes at the Sudanese Community Center. The adult refugee students at the Sudanese Center have been studying with TFLI ESL instructors for 1 ½ years. With your contribution, you will not only help the Sudanese refugees to continue their education, but you will also enable them to be better parents and employees. Your small contribution will go a very long way.
Many of you know the story of the Sudanese refugees. If you do not, we have provided this link that tells the story of their journey:

. If you are a friend of the Sudanese, you know the struggles they have been through to survive and make it to the USA. You also understand why we are asking for your donation.
Your donation will be tax-deductible, and we will send you an e-letter after you have made a donation. It’s easy to make a donation, whether it’s $10 or $100 or more! All you have to do is go to this secure link on our website:

If you are not already in our database, just sign up. If you would rather make a donation by check, you can make it out to TFLI with a note that your donation is going to the Sudanese ESL Class. If you would prefer to call us and make a donation by phone, you are welcome to do so.
The students, Executive Director Gatluak Ter Thach and TFLI sincerely appreciate your support.
