Our Vision
"A world community enriched by linguistic and cultural diversity, unhindered in its efforts to create meaningful dialogues.”

The Tennessee Foreign Language Institute (TFLI), an agency of the State of Tennessee established in 1986 by the General Assembly, is dedicated to responsive service of the public sector, the business community and private citizens in realizing their intercultural communication goals through language instruction and professional development, translation and interpretation services, and cultural awareness programs.

Why TFLI?

Over 20 years of service to the community -- federal, state and local governments; forward-thinking organizations and individuals -- providing superior training and linguistic support,  essential for economic, personal and professional development in today's global marketplace.
